Terms of Use
Last updated:
Please read these terms carefully before using the Energy Guardian website. By using our site you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the website at energyguardian.co.uk (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We may update these terms at any time; continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
2. About Us
The Site is operated by Energy Guardian, an energy comparison and advisory service based at 19 Northumberland Place, Shrewsbury, SY1 2RL.
Energy Guardian is an introducer for Utility Warehouse (UW). We are not a regulated financial adviser and do not provide regulated financial advice. Nothing on this Site constitutes financial, legal, or professional advice.
3. Nature of Our Service
The Site provides:
- General information and guidance on UK domestic energy tariffs and efficiency.
- An interactive Energy Vampires tool to estimate appliance running costs (for illustrative purposes only).
- Free downloadable resources including energy-saving guides.
- Referral links to Utility Warehouse and other third-party services.
- A BlueLight reward scheme for eligible Blue Light Card holders who join UW through our referral.
All tariff data, cost estimates, and savings figures shown on the Site are indicative only and based on publicly available Ofgem data. Actual costs will vary depending on your usage, tariff, and supplier.
4. Referral Links & Commercial Relationships
Energy Guardian earns a commission when users join Utility Warehouse through our referral link. This does not affect the price you pay to UW. Our referral relationship with UW does not mean we endorse all UW products or that UW is necessarily the best option for every household.
Links to third-party websites (including UW, TrustMark, and the EPC Register) are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those sites.
5. BlueLight Reward Scheme
The BlueLight reward scheme is subject to the following conditions:
- The offer is available exclusively to valid Blue Light Card holders.
- Homeowners may qualify for a tiered reward: £25 for one UW service, £50 for two services, or £75 for three services.
- Tenants may qualify for a £25 reward when taking all three UW services.
- Your UW account must remain active for a minimum of 90 consecutive days from the start date.
- Claims must be submitted by email to [email protected] with your Blue Light Card number, full name, and preferred voucher choice (Amazon or Love2shop).
- One reward per household. No cash alternative.
- Energy Guardian reserves the right to verify eligibility before issuing any reward.
- This promotion is operated solely by Energy Guardian and is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Utility Warehouse or Blue Light Card Ltd.
- Energy Guardian reserves the right to withdraw or amend this offer at any time without notice.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, and tools — is the property of Energy Guardian or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our prior written consent.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Energy Guardian shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the Site or reliance on any information provided, including tariff estimates, savings calculations, or energy advice.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Acceptable Use
